This year was my first year in high school art. I learned a lot in Foundations about different media and kinds of art. I learned about the different movements and how they shaped art today.
My second semester I was in drawing, which was fun to do. I learned how to use charcoal and ink to create shadows in my pieces and how lighting can effect these things. My favorite media to use is charcoal, because it blends easily and I like black and white art. I'm not nearly as good with colors, but I'm better than I was when I was five.
Sometimes the deadlines were hard to meet because they were sometimes not very far from the starting date. I sometimes needed to wait for an idea before I could start and I've had to restart countless times because of errors with my paper. Even though some things weren't perfect, I did enjoy being in art this year.
